These high-quality wire cutters from our own RS PRO brand are a handy addition to any electrician’s toolbox. The ergonomically designed handle ensures a comfortable grip over long periods of use, with a tapered end to prevent the hand slipping while in use.

Featuring a pointed shape and reduced head size, these cutters are ideal for allowing access to areas which are difficult to reach. Lightweight and easy to use, these wire nippers are a fast and efficient tool for wire cutting applications, delivering precision where it counts.

Features and Benefits

• Cutting force 3.5 kg

• Can cut through 0.81 mm diameter copper wire

• Delivers a flush cut

• Smaller head dimension and pointed shape head for hard to reach areas

Applications

Wire cutters, or nippers, are used in all manner of applications, both domestic and industrial. From prototyping and device assembly to cable installation, wire cutters essential. They are often used by;

• Electricians

• Maintenance workers

• Engineers

What is the advantage of a flush cutter?

Flush wire cutters, or straight wire cutter, don't leave a 'spike' or angle in the wire after it has been cut. Because of the shape of their blades, they are slightly less durable than beveled cutters, but a straight cut or flush wire may be preferable where there is a risk of damaging delicate components. Where precision is more of a concern than durability, flush cutters should be used.

Though other tools such as pliers might have cable cutters integrated, specialist wire cutters typically deliver a better, neater and safer wire cutting experience.

It this wire cutter VDE certified?

This wire cutter isn't VDE approved and cannot be used on live electric cables.
